One of United Church’s primary forms of community outreach is through the United Presbyterian Thrift Shop, open to the public every Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Feb. - Dec.). Through the Thrift Shop we practice our faith’s values of caring for God’s creation by:
-
reusing and recycling gently used items;
-
offering high-quality items priced to be accessible to individuals and families on tight budgets; and
-
providing a place for connection between community members.

The Thrift Shop is more than a shop; it is a community hub where strangers become friends! We invite you to volunteer, donate, and stop by as you are able.

Proceeds from the thrift shop benefit United Church and our many mission partners in the community, including: The Middletown Warming Station, The Guild of St. Margaret's Soup Kitchen, The Lions’ Club "No Kid Hungry" backpack feeding program, and many others. We partner with HONOR (emergency housing), Agri-Business Child Development School, Humane Society, TARA, and Pets Alive to pass along needed items from donations we receive.
